Founded in 1867 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Kusmi, a merchant of teas from India, China, and Ceylon, moved to France after the fall of the Tsar. Although the company is no longer owned by the Kusmichoff family, it still retains some traditional blends that bear the name of the old Russian nobility.

The Anastacia contains bergamot, lemon, and orange blossom. The Prince Wladimir is made with citrus fruits, vanilla, and spices.
