You’ll find Paris Story in the basement of a historic building at 11 bis Rue Scribe, just in front of the northwest wing of the magnificent Opera Garnier. The façade and roofs of our home are listed in the historic monuments’ register. You will walk down a fine staircase surrounded by antique walls redolent of the theatres, cabarets and night life of the Grands Boulevards of Paris during the glittering years of the Belle Epoque. Even before you enter, Paris Story speaks of the authentic history of the City of Lights.
The Reception Area
Once you reach the foot of the staircase, the Paris Story team will be there to offer you a warm welcome. There’s a bar with hot and cold drinks, as well as snacks. Prior to the next screening of the Paris Story film, you’ll find the bookshop well worth visiting. We’ve picked out unusual works on Paris and its main attractions as well as some souvenirs we think you’ll like. Children are most welcome and we have some educational, fun games and guides to help a new generation discover the world’s most beautiful city.
There’s a 21st century secret behind all the history of 11 bis Rue Scribe. Seating 130 people and with a panoramic 12m² screen, Paris Story boasts one of the largest projection rooms in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Take a look up to the technical area which, while reminding you perhaps of the projection boxes of old cinemas, has the very latest equipment. Our sound system has been redesigned and incorporates multichannel surround sound to engulf the viewer in the experience. Last, but most certainly not least, each seat comes complete with an audio jack so, if you prefer, you can select any one of six different languages in your headphones.
Paris Story offers you an exclusive private space for your event. Our reception room can be scaled to suit the size of your group. Dinners and cocktail receptions are among our popular bookings, providing a private party right in the beating heart of Paris. Because there’s a stage area, the room can easily be transformed into a conference space or even a small concert hall. Take a look at our offers for private bookings of Paris Story.
