Direct TGV Train Paris/Barcelona

The high-speed TGV Paris/Barcelona direct train has just been inaugurated, making the trip last 6.25 hours. There are two trains daily: the first at 7:15 AM and the second at 2:07 PM. Tickets cost between 136 and 170 euros. Considering the transfer to airports and wait times for boarding, the travel times by train and air are almost the same.

In addition to the direct Paris/Barcelona service, SNCF also offers:

. Marseille/Barcelona direct in 4.17 hours. One train per day departing at 7:10 AM and ticket prices range from 65 to 100 euros.

. Toulouse/Barcelona direct in 3 hours. The train leaves at 8:24 PM and ticket prices range from 62 to 77 euros.

. Lyon/Barcelona direct in 4.53 hours. One train per day departing at 7:36 AM. Prices range from 90 to 113 euros.

SNCF expects one million international passengers in 2014.
