Since Paris is not a very large city and the metro network is well distributed, you won't have any trouble going back and forth. Although it is located almost outside the city, well south of the French capital, the Hotel Virgina is very close to the Porte d'Orléans station, line 4 of the Paris metro.
This line is one of the most important as it cuts the city in half from north to south. It will take you to the area of Saint Germain, Montparnasse, Notre Dame, downtown Paris, etc.
The area where the hotel is located is residential, non-touristy, friendly, and safe.
