Best Things to Do:
The best new restaurants in Paris according to Condé Nast Traveler
The list of the best new restaurants in the world by Condé Nast Traveller has just been published.
For Paris, the selection is bold. We have only hidden gems, I would even say alternative ones. Almost all, except for one, are located in neighborhoods off the traditional tourist circuits. Three of them are in the bustling and interesting 10th arrondissement of Paris; three in the youthful 11th, between République and Bastille; one in the 20th, right on the path of our Street Art tour in Paris, and the last one in Saint Germain. The selection favors young chefs of foreign origin. Of the eight mentioned restaurants, only three have French chefs. Two of them have already been featured in previous articles, and the third one, the article is almost ready and we will publish it later this week.
See the list below:
1 - Abri, highly noted by the media, minimal space, tables pushed together, located in the hype 10th of Paris, 92 rue du Faubourg Poissonière. A young Japanese chef who previously worked at Robuchon and Taillevent creating great dishes in a small space. Click here to reserve a table.
2 - Vivant, also in the 10th arrondissement, 43 rue des Petits Écuries, operated by a Japanese chef who previously worked with Joel Robuchon in New York. Also recommended by the Fooding team.
3 - Semilla in Saint Germain, 54 rue de Seine, run by an American and a New Zealander. Other critics have also cited it, and it is also listed in the Fooding guide.
4 - Roseval, in the 20th, the neighborhood of Édith Piaf. This restaurant is right on the Street Art route of Conexão Paris, 1, rue d'Eupatoria. Run by two young chefs who have worked at Chateaubriand. Cited by both Fooding and Figaro. This restaurant no longer exists.
5 - Le 6 Paul Bert, hidden in the 11th at 6 rue Paul Bert, where we find two other restaurants by the same owner, already mentioned here on Conexão Paris: Bistrot Paul Bert and L'Ecailler du Bistrot. All close together and well known by younger and alternative critics.
6 - Bones, located in the bohemian area of the 11th defined by Condé as hipster-packed, 43 rue Godefroy Cavaignac, run by an Australian chef who attracts crowds with cheerful and quick cuisine. This restaurant no longer exists.
7 - Auberge Flora, we have already mentioned her hotel and restaurant here. It is no surprise to us that this chef is on the list. Also hidden in the 11th, 44 boulevard Richard-Lenoir. Read our article here. Click here to reserve a table.
8 - La Regalade Conservatoire, already mentioned here on CP. Read our article here. This is the third location of chef Bruno Doucet, 7-9 rue du Conservatoire, a small street between the 9th and 10th. For us, this is the best tip on the list by Condé Nast Traveller. Click here to reserve a table.
